An integrated collaboration system is defined as an environment where a virtual group of people work and go to for other interests including professional, cultural, social and educational etc. Collaborated environments combine and integrate evolved functions including web based collaboration, videoconferencing and instant messaging systems, that can be used by users' groups based on intuitive web based platforms and a PC connected to the Internet.
As well as professional use of collaborative tools, there is also widespread social use, favouring contact between individuals and groups, exchanging and sharing information, interests and skills, through sharing many different formats of multimedia contents, mail messages and writing. It’s a whole new universe that has become a real social phenomenon and CSP work groups are concentrating their attention on trial activities here.
In this context CSP’s activities range from analysing teaching models for distance learning, technological scouting, from selecting platforms and standards in use to adapting the contents to new forms of distributing knowledge. Additionally there is the study of collaborative working dynamics and paradigms of Web 2.0 as applications expressed with existing technologies ranging from working contexts, to school and projects with economic and social effects in Piedmont.

• CSP e-Collab: application of a collaborative working model for CSP’s in-house project
• Progetto Alma Two: research project to develop e-learning new products in cooperation with the Università di Bologna 
• Arcipelago: integrated teaching environment for the Facolta' di Economia dell'Università di Torino
