Next Generation Networks

Next Generation Networks (NGN) are broadband and wireless networks, based on emerging and innovative technologies for distributing IP services and that are QoS - Quality of Services - enabled.
These networks are designed for distributing sizeable services including mobile – ubiquitous and roaming - for users. They are new distribution platforms with broadband and wireless features, to facilitate increased use of the Internet and services available online for individuals, schools and businesses.
It’s in this context that CSP conducts industrial research into Next Generation Networks. It is closely involved in the trial phase with organisations responsible for introducing new network technologies –Wimax trials – as well as those distributing new services to marginal areas, ad hoc networking services for specific productive situations, thus favouring economic promotion and access to innovative services in marginal areas. Recently tested next generation network technologies range from Wimax to Wibro, from ad hoc networking to mesh& sensor networks and from Wireless and Mobile to Security networks.
