{"id":425,"date":"2012-10-12T11:25:27","date_gmt":"2012-10-12T10:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.csp.it\/?p=425"},"modified":"2015-04-16T09:48:20","modified_gmt":"2015-04-16T09:48:20","slug":"workshop-interattivo-del-progetto-smard-al-nem-summit-istanbul-16-ottobre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.csp.it\/en\/2012\/10\/12\/workshop-interattivo-del-progetto-smard-al-nem-summit-istanbul-16-ottobre\/","title":{"rendered":"SMARD &#8211; Interactive workshop at the NEM Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The SMARD project is organizing an\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Interactive workshop on Networked Media R&amp;D commercialisation<\/strong>\u00a0during the 2012 NEM Summit, in Istanbul, addressed to R&amp;D EU project partners in the Networked media sector.<\/p>\n<p>The NEM Summit, now in its 5th year in a row, is organised by the NEM Initiative \u2013 the Networked Electronic Media European Technology Platform \u2013 under the aegis of the European Commission (<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/dgs\/information_society\/index_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\">DG Information Society and Media<\/a>) and will take place in Istanbul on October 16-18, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop intends to identify the\u00a0<strong>innovation potential<\/strong>\u00a0in current and future projects and the commercial\/societal potential of the ideas, to get a better view on\u00a0<strong>tech transfer and commercialisation processes<\/strong>\u00a0and how to build\u00a0<strong>business cases<\/strong>\u00a0for all participating projects, to increase awareness and knowledge on how to create and implement a tech transfer and\u00a0<strong>commercialisation strategy<\/strong>\u00a0in a (European) project.<\/p>\n<p>The potential benefits for participating EU projects are multiple, ranging from new insights into best practices that could help in commercializing the projects outcomes, to chances to access opportunities to meet up with potential investors and commercialisation partners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About SMARD &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>SMARD \u2013 European Support Framework on Networked Media R&amp;D for SMEs, is a support action project, funded by the FP7 Theme ICT, within the Networked Media Systems cluster. Four partners,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.salzburgresearch.at\/en\/\">SFRG-Salzburg Research<\/a>(Austria),\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibbt.be\/en\">IBBT<\/a>(Interdisciplinary Institute for Broadband Technology (Flanders, Belgium),\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csp.it\/en\/\">CSP-Innovazione nelle ICT<\/a>(Piemonte, Italy), led by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/innovation.mfg.de\/our-region\">MFG Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg \u2013 Innovation Agency for ICT and Media<\/a>(Germany), gathered into a consortium to help\u00a0 small and medium sized enterprises in the digital media and internet sector to implement and make use of research and development activities in the networked media field. SMARD aims to facilitate access to research findings and support technology commercialisation, to increase SMEs participation in EU-funded research programmes, to establish goal-oriented processes and services for technology transfer.
