LIMPID aims to apply the IOT paradigm in the transport domain. In order to monitor traffic, and other parameters, it will use data derived from the public transport users and from infrastructure elements. The collected data will power a DSS enabled to monitor the state of traffic and provide decision support to the PA. An app will extract info from these data and provide forecasting and predictive values on traffic flows, use of public transport, availability of parking, useful both to users and to the PA. The collected data will merge on the regional platform Smartdatanet.

The technological aspects will be tested in a Living Lab including vehicles, electric bikes and a UAV equipped with a videocamera.
