The preparatory phase HACK4MED starts on May the 8th, through a barcamp focusing on the re-use of public data, pivotal issue of the MED project HOMER.
HACK4MED, the 24-hour hackaton, is taking place at the University of Turin Luigi Einaudi Campus on May the 17 and 18th. Over 700 open data datasets are made available to developers and companies, with the aim of creating services based on opendata.
The hackathon HOMER is scheduled at the same time in 7 Mediterranean regions (Andalusia, Corse, PACA, Piedmont, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Crete, Montenegro). The most innovative applications will be the selected and the final winner awarded in a ceremony within the HOMER conference in Torino, on July the 9th 2014.
