PICOD is a project developed by CSP on behalf of the Regione Piemonte ICT Laboratory.

PICOD is about the automatic recognition of disabled people cars:  in fact, the widespread use of video surveillance systems for the recognition of disabled people’s vehicles creates a problem when they access the Restricted Traffic Zones in town  different  from where they live.

Automatic recognition of the parking permits  would allow the establishment of a national DB of parking permits , with significant reduction of administrative costs and red tape for citizens and entities responsible for control.
