JamToday: a month dedicated to the game-based learning
May 20, 2014 CSP_admin

The subject is game-based learning and learning environment based on the paradigm that considers game as a way for learning. A series of preparatory events are leading to the Torino Game Jam to be held in Turin on June the 14th and 15th. The Torino Game Jam is a marathon of programming, entirely devoted to the game-based learning, and is part of the European project JamToday, of which CSP is a partner.

The first date is May the 13th: during HackUnito, the website http://jamtoday.csp.it is launched and the registration for the Game Jam is open.
Two evening events are following at the Lab of Piazza Vittorio, Turin. On May the 20th, a meeting will give hints on how to deal with a Game Jam, with the evocative title “How to Survive a Game Jam”. On June the 10th, a seminar entitled “How to design a serious game ” will end the preparatory phase.
Then, the international workshop “A Gaming culture is growing”, organised in cooperation with the BooGames project will follow on June the 13th.
