YouBEE is an evolution of BEE – Building Energy Ecosystem, project that had as result the development of a micro smart grid that feeds the production of a Piedmont company with renewable energy.
YouBEE aims at the study and implementation of an energy management system for a local Smart Grid that works not only within a single establishment.
The main features of this kind of systems are the following: different renewable energy generators, smart loads, energy storage units, smart energy flows management systems, devices and technologies tested as to the effectiveness and efficiency.
The project is funded by POLIBRE, IV annual programme of The ICT Innovation Cluster, PAR FSC the 2007-2013,  Regional Operational Programme “Regional Competitiveness and Employment”.
